Although New Ulm is the recognized "Polka Capital:, the "Granite City" (St. Cloud, MN) has made its presence felt in the field of old time music. One of the bands responsible for this is The Graniteers.

The Graniteers (formerly known as Riene's Orchestra_ were formed in 1963 by Don Moore. The band has made great progress in its short history, as you will hear when listening to this album.

The album is a blend of smooth old time waltzes, snappy polkas, and a pair of modern numbers which bear witness to the band's versatility. Riene Motschke and his Hengel concertina are featured on four old time selections.
