Joyce originally released Vol. 8 in memory of her late husband Benny. With the re-issue of this recording, we are also honoring Joyce and Jerry by dedicating this CD to them as well.

Joyce first played professionally at the age of 12. Her last performance, with the Jolly Fishermen, was Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Trobecs Event Center in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Just 4 days before she passed away.

Jerry started playing the concertina at age 16. he last performed with the "Jerry Gwost Concertina Band" for the Fireman's Dance in Leaf Valley, Minnesota on Sunday, April 17, 2007.
